Your Olive Tree Heart
God designed Olive Hearts to connect spirit to spirit with him and others, this means that they are very much about the "FEELINGS". They feel the spirit in their bones, or in the fire. Think of Moses experiencing God in the Burning Bush, yet he did not sense God in the wind and other distractions.
Our world is not designed for this depth of sensory input, and translating what they are feeling into thoughts, emotions or words sometimes can pose a challenge. Due to this, Olive's are highly misunderstood and will stay surface level to self-protect. They feel deeply and quickly and but avoid depth to takes to build foundational relationships when wounded. Their enthusiasm masks in emotional shallowness when walking wounded or contrary to their calling, but when walking with set free they give a word it sticks like "gold apples in the setting of silver".
Surface level Olives will cut off anyone who challenges them with tough conversations and negatively label them. The breakthrough happens with an Olive permits their heart to be vulnerable enough to receive hard truths and the structure to grow is where we see transformation occur.

Olives are designed for restoration environments that value authentic depth over surface harmony. When you're pressured to maintain constant positivity or avoid necessary challenges, your encouragement gift becomes shallow affirmation instead of transformational hope. You need contexts that appreciate both encouragement AND truth-telling for genuine growth.
3. Why Do People Misunderstand My Good Heart?
Your genuine desire to encourage gets misunderstood when you avoid the deeper conversations people actually need. While your heart truly wants to help, staying at surface-level positivity can leave others feeling unheard in their struggles. The difference between encouragement that transforms and encouragement that feels shallow is whether you're willing to engage with difficult realities alongside the hope. 4. Why Can't I Find My Calling?
Living stuck from misaligned patterns keep you either people-pleasing for approval or avoiding depth that makes others uncomfortable. 5. Why do Results Keep Changing?
Head/heart conflict prevents accurate self-assessment. When your heart carries unhealed patterns, you cannot accurately assess your encouragement gifts. Even when I am struggling, I do my best to keep things positive and to help others have a good day. I will avoid topics that I believe will cause others distress, taking it upon myself to keep the peace and not confront. I don’t see this as avoidance, but keeping things light helps everyone have a better day.
I feel deeply and sometimes get carried away by the range of emotions I feel. I can get tempted to escape these deep feelings through destructive behavior.
I get hurt and get very defensive when others bring up vulnerable topics and usually will withdraw or react strongly to protect myself. I see this as them being argumentative and deeply wounding.

I bring the positive power of truth with hope to authentically encourage others. I am a safe place. I can embrace the wide range of emotions as a blessing, as they nourish me. I don’t need to numb or escape them nor let them be in control.
I can release a word that is so timely that it goes to the very depth of the person I am speaking with. When I feel my true heart is being seen and my encouragement received, it can fill me for days with overflowing joy.
